Tooth Whitening - Special Zoom offer and sound advice
All new Zoom Whitening customers will be given a free syringe of DayWhite 9.5 %, tooth whitening solution to use in conjuction with their bleaching trays, when they come in for their six monthly check-up.
To qualify you will have to purchase the package which includes a dental check-up and a scale and clean as well as take home trays with bleaching solution and the Zoom in chair procedure. Then when you come in for your six monthly check-up you will receive your DayWhite solution free. One syringe lasts for three applications which in most cases, is enough to keep your bright smile white and bright.
Of course this offer is valid as long as you come in every six months for your check up and scale and clean. This could mean years of free bleaching solution.
Why are we doing this?
We believe that prevention is better than cure, a six monthly check up coupled with a scale and clean and x-rays taken every couple of years will help you towards optimal dental health as long as you keep up your home dental routine.
What should I do?
- Work in conjunction with your dentist
- Brush your teeth twice a day and floss daily
- Brush straight after sweet sticky foods and make water the drink of choice
- Get a custom fitted mouthguard if you play sport
- Get a guard if you grind your teeth at night
- Don’t be afraid to discuss any concerns you have with your dentist and don’t use products you are unsure of. If in doubt ask questions
What if I still have problems?
Occasionally we all get symptoms that cause concern. When that happens make an appointment with your dentist. Sinus pain can sometimes be mistaken for dental pain, a tiny crack may happen from an olive pip or some other hard food. Wisdom teeth can also cause problems. A knock you received from a contact sport or accident may cause the root of a nerve to die. Chances are if you come in regularly for check-ups this will be picked up. Dr Skinner uses an operating microscope for general dentistry which means any surface cracks are more likely to be picked up even when they are invisible to the naked eye.
Will I end up with dentures like my grand-parents?
A large proportion of Seniors nowadays do not have dentures. This is partly due to advances in implant surgery and the fact that other advances in dentistry can save teeth that could not be saved a few generations ago. Of course scrupulous dental hygiene as well as regular six monthly check-ups guard against tooth loss. Today most people can look forward to retaining healthy teeth for life.
